Slideshare is an excellent resource/tool. You can learn a lot from the presentations of others, get some inspirations, ideas, pick up some tips on how to prepare your own presentation, what to include and what not, how to use pictures, graphics, audio, etc. It can be very useful for libraries - to display their own presentations for users and colleagues - and/or learn form other librarians and other information professionals.
For some reason Slideshare was (still is) slow to download and it took me some time to get to the presentations mentioned in Cam23 - and to others as well, it was a bit frustrating. Hope it was just a temporary problem.
Nevertheless, found interesting presentation on basic blogging styles - really useful for an inexperienced blogger. It attracted more than a hundred comments so far - quite popular. Learned about piggyback, ambition and evangelist blogging among others. The presentation has links to the various types of blogs - v. handy. It also provides info on a likely buzz index, recommends frequency of weekly updates, and, importantly, indicates how much effort is needed to keep the blog interesting.
