Judge Maze by inkelv1122 on FlickrI like doing Things 9 and 10 - it is interesting to search for images on Flickr and learn how to reuse them - without fear of doing something unlawful. Found a picture of Judge Maze - it has the right feeling of the place. Searching within Creative Commons-licensed content only is a really helpful option. Good to learn about various conditions that image creators use for their work. There is no need to create an account on Flickr to search for images, but if you want to leave a comment - then you have to register.
It is hard to overestimate the importance of using images in library presentations, blogs, websites. They are as important as words (sometimes even more) - they draw attention plus people tend to remember them better. I like Idlethink's pictures of various libraries and bookshops - she is a real fan of books. Though, I must admit, a sheer amount of books on her photos looks a bit too much for me. Need some air, grass, trees and cute animals. Gone looking for cats, kittens and flowers. What a difficult search... Came across these wonderful creatures of pen3ya.
That's an interesting persepctive of the Judge - I wonder if the photographer was hanging upside down from one of the balconies?!
