LikedIn is another tool for online networking. It is more business-like, career-related. I guess it might be very useful for some people and not at all for others. Many people use Twitter, Facebook, their blogs to keep in touch with their professsional communities. As for LinkedIn - are people really 'connected'? Does having a LinkedIn profile help you in a job search? Reading other blogs it seems the answer is somewhere between 'no' and 'well, not really'. Though I can imagine that LinkedIn is more widely used in other job secors.
